Advice from the dateless

I feel that, in a relationship, the two people should be selfless and always trying to make the other happy. It shouldn't be a struggle though, their presence would be enough at times, but the meaning still remains. One of them shouldn't constantly feel the need to gain attention or acceptance from the other, that should just be constantly given. It should be that even if you haven't seen each other in days or weeks, you can still know how much they care about you and how highly they think of you. A relationship shouldn't be about gaining your own happiness through the other person. It should be about making the other person happy, and through that, being happy yourself.

So, I figured I should put a little "warning" on here in case anyone reads this :) I just want everyone to know that not all the poems I write on here are exactly how I'm feeling! Sometimes I just get a cool idea and I write about it, while other times what I say is what's going on with me at the time.
